Since our founding in 2003, we have distributed awards to a variety of non-profit
organizations, including:
2008
Meta House
Meta House provides residential
substance abuse treatment to women primarily from Milwaukee's Central City. The grant
from Everyday Philanthropists helped fund copayments for prescription medications for
these women.
Kathy's House
Kathy's House is a place for people
to stay while a family member receives medical care at a hospital in Milwaukee. Everyday
Philanthropists funds are used to provide transportation to hospitals for underserved
guests and provide room and board while a loved one receives hospital care.
Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee
Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee
addresses the physical health of low-income elderly or disabled home owners with the ultimate
goal of keeping long time homeowners independent and active. Support from Everyday
Philanthropists went to purchase and install special needs products to provide longtime
homeowners with an option to continue to live independently in homes that are
safe.
Operation Dream
Operation Dream was designed to take Milwaukee
Youth (ages 7-17) off the streets, and place them into a constructive organization.
Everyday Philanthropists funding helps pay for bus service to transport the young men
from their homes to the COA, where they meet every Saturday as well as provide lunches.
2007
River Revitalization Foundation
Funds to conduct habitat restoration at the Brown Deer Riparian Woodland Restoration Site
through the removal of invasive plants such as buckthorn and garlic mustard in partnership with
local volunteers.
HOPE Network
Funds to purchase 14 new Graco Pack-n-Play units to provide portable cribs to low-income
single mothers and their babies.
Bay View Neighborhood Association
Triangle Garden Project: Beautification of the triangle corner of Lincoln, Kinnickinnic,
and Howell Avenues
Make a Difference Wisconsin, Inc.
Development of a behavioral outcomes evaluation tool for MAD's financial
literacy project aimed at eleventh graders.
Urban Ecology Center
Funds to help schools participate in the Center's Neighborhood
Evironmental Education Project.
Hope House of Milwaukee, Inc.
Support for the after-school Shining Stars Youth Education Program to
enhance the "We Are Community" mural project.
Women's Fund of Greater Milwaukee, Inc.
Her Scholarship Program: Scholarship for a women over the age of 35
seeking to complete a degree program at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
