About Us

Everyday Philanthropists was established to provide a forum for our members to learn more about the critical needs in our community and the solutions being offered by area non-profits.

By pooling our resources and acting together, we are able to leverage a greater impact on our community with our charitable contributions than we could individually.

Publicity

If you didn't hear, we were featured on a followup interview with Milwaukee Public Radio, on the August 6 edition of Lake Effect, and we welcome our visitors from the public radio audience. You can also listen to the first interview we did on the WUWM website.

Our Name

Prior to 2005, our group was known as Future Philanthropists of Milwaukee because of its original connection to Future Milwaukee, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of community leaders in Milwaukee.

Our new name - Everyday Philanthropists
emphasizes that we are:

• Committed to donating $1 every day.
• Everyday donors, as in ordinary or common - the required financial commitment is within reach of most people in our community; and
• Making a difference in our community today, not just in the future.
